All I Ever Wanted Is Here

Dear Readers and Future Contributors,
My name is Natalie, and I am the new Digital Platform Director of Bossier, Georgetown’s one and only intersectional feminist magazine. Bossier Digital is a gathering space that isn’t just for one thing. It's about the female experience, from the most frivolous to the most serious.
- It’s about the mythic figure of Cassandra, the woman who was gifted prophetic sight by the Gods but cursed never to be believed when she turns down Apollo’s marriage proposal.
- It’s also about the horrific flu spreading around campus,
- finding a job after college,
- and ways to channel female aggression. (Aggressive dancing is a favorite of mine, as well as drawing flowers on Adobe).
- And speaking of flowers, it’s also about buying one’s self flowers
- or dancing feverishly at Flash to Depeche Mode… “All I ever wanted, all I ever needed, is here, in my arms…”
- It's also about vegan desserts,
- and safety tips for going out, like wearing big shoes for stable footing, or carving out a personal space bubble through huge, sweeping hair swings.
And just as the pulsating speakers of Flash proclaim that “words are very unnecessary,” Bossier Digital is a place for all forms of self-expression—art, photography, and multi-media works— not just written pieces.
So, as the new director of Bossier Digital, I invite you to bring your inner world to our space.
Xo,
Natalie Shaw
