Bossier Supports GUPR

In response to recent events on Georgetown’s Campus:

The climate of hate on Georgetown University’s campus has been present and disruptive since students of marginalized identities can remember. We demand change.

We demand to have the land that we are currently inhabiting be acknowledged as stolen, native, and constructed through enslavement and genocide.

We also want to honor and use our platform to spread the current narrative of hate crimes on this campus.

As an organization that stresses an intersectional, non exclusionary, feminist lens, we feel it’s important to hold Georgetown as an institution accountable.

Please keep in mind that students on this campus are hurting. And among the joy, there is also an immense unsurmountable rage.

We must do better. All of our community must be safe. It is the job of white comrades in particular to show up and dismantle white supremacy. This job cannot consistently fall on people of color. Please do not sit this one out.
