Defend Our Daughters
You want to serve our country
What happened to saving me?
You speak of truth and reliability,
I see lies and irresponsibility.
The Army speaks of comradery
You show it, not towards family.
Bullets, bombs, and artillery
Laughs, love, and responsibility.
You work for chivalry and honor
But do even know your own daughter?
I love you.
You love meds.
It’s not your fault fighting messed with your head.
I love you... but you blow my heart to shreds.
I thought we could work through it.
No wonder the military makes me a beneficiary.
